The AGI Scientist is an open lab for frontier AI. We think the most important technology of our time should be built where everyone can see it, test it, and improve it — not behind closed doors.
What we believe
Reproducible or it didn't happen
A result nobody can re-run is a press release. We publish the environment, data, and code alongside the claim.
Open by default
Research, tools, and projects are free to read and free to use. Membership funds the work; it never gates it.
Credit in the open
Contributions are attributed and carried forward, so sharing early beats sitting on a result.
Accountable in public
Legible, auditable work is safer work. Building in the open is how the field stays honest as the stakes rise.
How it works
Ask an open question, run a reproducible experiment, turn the finding into a tool, and ship it in the open — then hand the next researcher a higher starting point.
Everything on the platform serves that loop: a research feed, a tools registry, open projects, working groups, and guides to get you from first principles to the frontier.
